Product Overview: Crude Oil Density Tester (20~100 °C)

The densitometer is engineered to measure the density of transparent, low-viscosity liquids as well as viscous liquids. Density refers to the mass of a substance contained in a unit volume at a specified temperature. The density of petroleum products increases with higher carbon, oxygen, and sulfur content in their composition. Consequently, petroleum products rich in aromatic hydrocarbons, resins, and asphaltenes exhibit higher density, those with more cycloalkanes fall in the mid-range, and products with predominantly alkanes show the lowest density. Therefore, by determining the density (or specific gravity) of petroleum products, the type and composition of oil products can be assessed to a significant extent. This instrument is widely applied in petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, electric power, transportation, commodity inspection, scientific research, and other industries.
