The sole wear resistance test is to use a special grinding wheel to check and test the sole wear resistance of the sole under a certain load, speed and time. The commonly used test methods are the Akron method, the NBS method, the Chinese National Standard (GB) method (also known as the XM wear method), and the DIN sole wear method.


DIN sole wear detection method:

The DIN abrasion method mainly includes the following testing standards: GB/T9867-2008, ISO4649:2010, ISO20871:2001, EN12770:1999, QB/T2884-2007. Among them, QB/T867-2008 and ISO4649:2002 adopt the same standard, ISO2087l:2001, EN12770:1999, DIN 53516 and QB/T2884-2007 adopt the same standard.

DIN-53516 Din Abrasion Tester

Main function of DIN abrasive tester is to test the friction of surface by a particular piece of sandpaper, After friction for a certain time, and then assess the condition of material surface, weight, volume and thickness, from this standard to assess the abrasive nature of materials.
Applicable industry
Applied to test leather performance in shoes, clothing, luggage handbag industry, research laboratories; Commodity inspection, arbitration and technical supervision departments.

Specimen Size: 16mm, thickness at least 6mm.
Specimen Load: 10N 0.2N.
Diameter of wear wheel: 150mm.
Speed of wear wheel: 40 1RPM.
Emery cloth Specification: 60 #, seam is less than 2mm.
Testing Length: 40M (about 84 rotate).
Horizontal displacement: 4.2mm / rotate.
